THE MUTE DIARIES Entry 14: The Breaks

G'day kids. Been a hot minute. Some of you will have realised, I've been keeping a pretty low pro. Underground. AWOL. MIA. Ghost. Swayze (no pun intended. What you mean you hadnt noticed?! Warreva...)

Before I went dark, I was my usual, busy self. Doing my thing, going for broke and tryna catch a break. All the madness meant that I'd need a break, otherwise, I was headed for break - ing point.

So - Clap ya hands, everybody...

these

are

The Breaks

It's been a long year. A long 5 years, which is when I took my last 'holiday' if that's what you can call it. Cue the familiar response that says "...but Sewuese, you're always traveling" but I'm sure I aint gotta tell you, it ain't the same. So far, I'm sure I've got you believing I have in fact been on holiday.

Wrong.

I've been sick. Doctors everywhere. Working to complete everything I could before I was forced once again to stop dead in my tracks, (as I was when I started this blog) and do what needed doing. So I was signed off and in my down-time, I used it as a time to take a break. Not that I had much choice!! But I also stepped away from stuff like blogging. It was mind break.

And it still is kidz.

Am easing my way back into certain things, but I'm still officially 'out of office'. (I'm not moaning (honest) but the stress has been nuts!) Had some time to reflect and set a new pace for myself, so I can do what I gotta do, and be a much better me. Its very frustrating but if you dont have your health, you dont have a lot else.

So I put pressure on myself to make certain moves, but have reminded myself whats important.

Thanks to you for your patience and support.

But do still have to update you on some of the things I got up to before I clocked off....

Just some tid-bits...

Sound-check with the boss Bryan Ferry at the Ivy for Philip Green's fashion week party (a great evening)

Some post-show fun... (hee hee)

PAs and pole-dancing ;P (not really) Sunday Show was warm and welcoming! Met some gorgeous fans ;)

The Sunflower Jam - great gig with a legendary rock line-up, including Suggs (Madness) and Bruce Dickenson (Iron Maiden), hosted by Jeremy Irons. Here's me with Nick Fyffe and Richard Archer from Hard-Fi

Ah, those were the days...

Before my brakes were on and I had no time to blog. Nowadays, I'm reading, studying, and making some new moves. I'm gonna try to finish reading this book I've been reading for MONTHS!! But I'll be back soon.

Until then...
xx
