Nat Williams, BabyFace & Neyo @ Indigo
Got down with my girl Natalie Williams on stage supporting Babyface last night at Indigo in the O2 - that girl can SAAANG!
Been ages since I seen her and superstar Tawiah (the rhyme was probably intentional from birth) and it was good just to see them and hang. Babyface was incredible - hit after hit after hit, which included a Bobby Brown medley and Gone Too Soon which he dedicated to MJ. Tawiah and I, Twittering in tandem!
Bumped into me ole pal Lemar and Michelle Williams backstage, who's prepping for her Chicago debut on Monday. Roxy is now a sista!
Neyo came through for his after-party at the same venue, (he played O2 with Keri Hilson) and did a mini-show. Always on point.

Mini-Gig: Days Like This...
So I did a mini-gig Tuesday night - it was cool. Some good acts up in there too.
But the lead-up was full of DRAMA!! All the way up until the last second...
Gig: PA set to a backing track. 3 songs only. SIMPLE, Right??
Well simpler than my band but I was just happy to be getting back on stage after a long hiatus. Here's how it went down:
Found my 2 background singers, and sent them the songs last week.
Organise rehearsals for Monday with the singers and DJ. Singer says she's on her way. But come time, I cant get hold of her - she went totally AWOL!
I had to touch-text to ask around quick enough. Help arrives in the shape of a magical Baby!! But too short notice for her to make rehearsals... we'll have to do tomorrow before show.
So rehearsed with one singer and DJ in a small sweaty box-room. Voice a little hoarse, but all seemed well.
Late night. Zzzzzzz.....
TUESDAY: GIG DAY
Ping ping ping goes my BlackBerry. Lots on today. Calls, emails, sending songs etc... yada yada yada...
It hits time to leave and guess what??
No time to change it, gotta call to find a garage close enough to drive slowly to.
Hazards on, driving slower than slow, holding up traffic. Cab driver makes obscene gestures to me. !£$*%^!!
Anyway, tyre gets fixed, but am LATE! Driving down motorway and realise boot isn't shut. Boot with EVERYTHING in it...
PANIC. Gotta stop n check my fate... it's cool. Alls there, praise the Lord.
BANG boot shut. Go.
Arrive to session with Bryan Ferry - called me in to record new song of him with Groove Armada (MASSIVE!! Listen out for it)
Dope session but 1 hour only - gotta dash - gonna pick up singer and rehearse. DJ has emergency situ and can't make it...
Think on feet. Pick up singer but no time, late for sound check so we roll.
FFWD - The time goes so quickly when you're prepping to go on stage. Grabbed some food, prepped a cue sheet for DJ at venue, then got ready.
Woman walks into me.... SPLASH!!! Water all down my front!
Frantic run to bar for tissues!! Then run on stage. I told the crowd what happened and sorry for the wet-T-shirt vibe (laughter)

Couldn't hear much but as you can see, we had fun. Thanks so much to ShoSho and Baby Sol (2 stars in their own light) Some of my peeps came down...

Hi ho, hi ho... I wonder of into the distance with my gas tank in hand, and return after 2o mins. Gotta use a ghetto-ass bottle to put the gas in tank!

Thanks for coming!
Just a quicky to say thanks to everyone who came down to the show last night. I will give you a full run-down of the days', and the shows' events when I have had some R&R, as I am about to suffer BURN-OUT! But it hurts so gooood!

Hey ya'll - I'm going to be making a mini appearance for a sing-song at Last Days Of Decadence in Shoreditch this Tues 7 July 2009 on a night called Substance & Style.
I'll be one of an all-female line-up, singing only 3 songs (but they're 3 good songs!)
